Just saw this cool new resource, http://imagebase.davidniblack.com/main.php. David Niblack is a professional photographer who has uploaded all of his photography to this site and made it public domain, that means you can use it! Plus there are hundreds of PowerPoint templates as well. If you are not already subscribed to http://www.freetech4teachers.com/ I suggest you do so and add it to your homepage immediately. Richard Byrne has great resources and ideas for you and your classroom on a daily basis.
We are hosting our first OUSD Interactive Whiteboard User PLN this afternoon in our new location, the former Cole Middle School. If you can't make it this month, no worries, we will be meeting every 3rd Thursday of the month. Click here for the agenda of our first workshop.
The purpose of these 'quickshops' is to:
- build a Professional Learning Network of users in OUSD
- share best practices and resources
- have fun!

Every year at this time, teachers are setting up their classrooms and when it comes to supplies, they are using a lot of their own money. Lots of teachers know about Donors Choose, but just recently, they capped the limit to $2,000. Here is a list of additional sites that provide money and/or supplies for your classroom:
Field Trip Grants
Teachers can apply for one of 5,000 grants of up to $700.
